Exciting news: Veiled Threats has been made into an original TV movie. It premieres Saturday August 16 on the Hallmark Channel, and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
Just think of it: from my imagination, to the printed page, to a producer choosing the story and a screenwriter concocting the script and actors getting in character and presto! A movie.
Hallmark’s “Wedding Planner Mystery” was filmed in Vancouver, BC, standing in for Seattle. Erica Durance of Smallville plays amateur sleuth Carnegie Kincaid, Andrew W. Walker is irritating-but-intriguing Aaron Gold, and Brandon Beemer of The Bold and the Beautiful makes a smoldering Holt Walker.
At least he smolders in the publicity photos – I haven’t seen the movie yet, so I’m as curious as you are. (The only thing I know for sure: my 11-year-old nephew will be disappointed, since he was hoping his author aunt would play the lead.)
I hope you’ll tune in to the movie, and leave your comments in my Guest Book. This should be fun! Pass the popcorn…
PS: I’ve been too busy for interviews lately, but these are still on view: an essay by Roberta Isleib on MysteryFile.com, an article in the Idaho Mountain Express in Sun Valley, andan interviews at book-blog. Life is calmer now, so if you’d like an interview for your website or newsletter, just send me an email!
I enjoy reading the Carnegie Kincaid books for two, prossibly just to me, reasons. fFirst, as a third generation Seattle area resident, your descriptions are spot on. I know where we are! Second, I didn’t notice even one grammatical error! How rare that is in today’s world.
Thank you. I enjoy your stories.

Excited for you! Looking forward to watching the series!
Thanks so much, Summer! I’m excited too. So far, Hallmark has only filmed Veiled Threats as a single movie. Whether they want to go further is another matter – but we can hope…
So when’s the next book coming out?
Sorry, no new book on the near horizon. The far horizon — well, I’ll let everyone know!
